Brad Leu, Director of Tennis

Director of Tennis since 1998, Brad was raised in Ohio, where he played four years of high school tennis before continuing on to play at Ohio State University.  Following graduation, he taught tennis at a club in Indiana, where the club owner was the current USPTA president; he convinced Brad to become a certified USPTA pro. Prior to his arrival at Sea Oaks, Brad was either a director of tennis or head professional for over 25 years at clubs in Hamilton, Ohio; Norfolk, Connecticut; and Montclair, New Jersey.  Currently, he is President of USPTA Florida, the certifying body of all tennis professionals in Florida. He is often a speaker at USTA conventions and has been honored as its District President of the Year.  Locally, he serves on the board of Youths on a Mission and the Indian River Tennis Foundation that focuses on junior tennis in Indian River County.

Henner LenhardtHenner Lenhardt, Tennis Professional
Henner grew up in Florida and Southern California, where tennis was the family sport. Beginning his collegiate tennis at the University of Alabama, Henner transferred to Florida State University, where he finished his college career with an invitation to the NCAA Championship with his partner and former #1 doubles player in the world, Paul Haarhuis.   Henner played professional tennis in Europe and taught at the Meadow Club in Long Island, New York, and Westside Tennis Club in Forest Hills, New York.  In 2006, he was awarded USPTA District President of the Year while head professional at Interlachen Country Club in Winter Park, Florida.  Henner arrived at Sea Oaks in 2014 and currently volunteers for the Mardy Fish Children’s Foundation.  In the summer season, he is the Director of Lawn Sports at the Burlingame Country Club in Sapphire, North Carolina.   

Joe O'Brien

Joe O’Brien, Tennis Professional
A Massachusetts native, Joe played in his first USTA tournament at the age of 14.   Playing high school tennis, he went on to become a Michigan State Spartan.  Joe has been involved with tennis for over 40 years – teaching and coaching as a USPTA pro for 28.  Having spent time in the North, he has taught platform tennis – the only racquet sport that players can enjoy outdoors in cold weather.  Recently, Joe was a developmental coach with the New England Academy of Tennis as well as the tennis professional at the Natick Racquet Club. Locally, Joe is involved in charity fundraisers such as Aces for Autism and the Youth Guidance program.  First coming to Sea Oaks in 1995, he returned in 2014 from the New England area at Brad’s invitation.
